Mom's Bean Soup
Mom'S Bean Soup is an impressive soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 4 minutes. Made with . navy beans, . cubed ham, c. onions, garlic cloves, minced and c. parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Place beans in a 4-quart Dutch oven with 6 to 8 cups water. Heat to boiling and let simmer for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 1 hour.
Drain.
Add 2 quarts water, ham, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, basil, pepper, oregano and bay leaf. Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until beans are tender.
