Mock Baklava
Mock Baklava is an easy dinner. Made with 1 box club crackers, 1 bag sliced almonds, 1 c. butter (2 sticks) and 2/3 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Line 2 cookie sheets with foil, place crackers on cookie sheet in single layer.
Cover with layer of almonds.
Heat oven to 300Β°.
On stove: melt butter and sugar, bring to a boil.
On low heat, cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Use spoon to drizzle all over crackers.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
Be sure rack is set on on above center in oven.
Cool on counter and cut, one at a time, carefully.
