Jenny'S French Dip Sandwiches(Servings: 8) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. rump roast, trimmed, 1 large onion, 1 pkg. onion soup mix, 2 cans beef consomme and 3/4 soup can sherry, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Place roast in Dutch oven.
Slice onion in thin slices and put on top.
Put onion soup mix in and then pour consomme and sherry over all.
Bake (uncovered) at 325Β° for 2 hours.
Remove roast from pan and thinly slice.
Put slices back into the pan and cook in oven an additional 45 minutes.
Slice rolls and butter them. Broil until toasted.
Place cheese slices on bottom, then put meat slices and onion on top.
Serve with a cup of sauce for dipping.
