π Recipe adapted from RecipeNLG-Full
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Put shortening, sugar and salt in a large bowl (cream as if making a cake).
Then add potatoes and potato water; let cool enough so it won't kill the yeast, then add egg and yeast.
Lastly add 1 cup flour.
Mix well together and let stand for an hour.
This will rise halfway up the bowl.
At the end of the hour, add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
Put in refrigerator overnight.
Dough will last 3 or 4 days in the refrigerator or can bake at one time.
Bake at 350Β° until done. (Can be baked lightly and frozen if you like, delicious frozen and heated as you want to use them.)
Real easy after making the first time.
