In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until well blended.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 9 to 11 minutes.
Cool slightly; remove from baking sheet to wire rack.
Makes 4 dozen.
