Hamburger Pot Pie Onion Pastry(Double Crust) is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. onion salt, 3/4 c. crisco and 1/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Preheat oven to 400°.
For metal pie plate, 425°.
Mix flour and Crisco until mixture is uniform.
Mix onion, salt and water. Sprinkle on water a tablespoon at a time.
Toss lightly with a fork.
Work dough into a firm ball with hands.
Divide in half and form 2 flat circles.
On a floured surface, roll out bottom crust, until 1 1/2-inches larger than a 9-inch pie plate.
Place crust in pie plate, time even with edge.
