Fried Cheese Sticks Or Cubes is an easy dinner. Made with mozzarella, provolone or fontina cheese, cut into 3/4-inch cubes or sticks, all-purpose flour, beaten egg, fine dry bread crumbs and cooking oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Coat cheese cubes with flour.
Dip in beaten egg, then add crumbs.
(If desired, prepare several hours ahead and refrigerate until needed).
Pour oil into fondue cooker to no more that 1/2 capacity or to depth of 2-inches.
Heat on range to 375Β°.
Add 1 teaspoon salt and transfer cooker to fondue burner.
Spear cheese with fondue fork.
Fry in hot oil for 20 to 30 seconds or until golden brown.
