Fried Apples
Fried Apples is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. tart apples, 3 tbsp. butter (bacon, ham or pork drippings give the apples good flavor) and 1/4 c. sugar or sugar to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Wash, core and slice apples (do not peel).
Place them in a heavy skillet in which the butter or drippings have been melted. Cover and cook over moderate heat until soft (5 to 10 minutes), then uncover and sprinkle with sugar.
Cook, uncovered, until apples are delicately browned on underside.
If overcooked, the apples will fall to pieces.
Serve hot.
