Fork Cookies
Fork Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. butter or 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening, 3 eggs, beaten and 2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream sugars and shortening, then add eggs.
Beat well.
Add soda and cream of tartar.
Sift together with flour.
Then add salt and vanilla.
From a tablespoon of dough form a ball and place on cookie sheet.
Press with fork.
Bake in 400Β° oven until the cookies are brown.
Makes about 70 cookies.
