Easy Swiss Steak
Easy Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 lb. round steak, 1 envelope lipton onion soup mix, 1/2 bell pepper, chopped, 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped and drained (save juice) and extra sliced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Rub large sheet of a heavy duty foil with 1 tablespoon oleo. Place foil in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle roast with 1 envelope of Lipton onion soup mix (dry).
(Do not use entire envelope of mix, if steak weighs less than 2 pounds.)
On top of this put bell pepper (chopped) and the tomatoes only.
Extra slices of onion may be added.
Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder to taste and m.s.g. or Accent (optional).
To juice from tomatoes, add A.1. sauce and cornstarch.
Mix together and pour over top of meat.
Seal tightly in foil and bake at 350Β° for about 2 hours.
