Unroll crescent rolls; pinch seams of 4 rolls together to form a rectangle.
Place cream cheese block on dough; sprinkle with basil.
Wrap dough around cream cheese; pinch seams to seal. Place block wrapped with dough on baking sheet with seam down. Brush top of dough with egg; bake 20 minutes or until brown in 400Β° oven.
