Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 large onion, chopped, 3 c. chopped, cooked chicken, 3 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) chicken broth and 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat; add onion and saute until tender.
Stir in chicken and next 9 ingredients; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes.
Stir in milk, return to simmer.
Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.
Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
Yield: 12 cups.
