Christmas Fudge
Christmas Fudge is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. milk, c. karo syrup, . salt and c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine sugar, milk, syrup and salt in saucepan; mix well. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils and sugar dissolves.
Cook to 238°, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cool to 110° without stirring. Beat until mixture loses its gloss and a small amount dropped from a spoon will hold its shape.
Quickly stir in pecans, coconut and cherries.
Pour into slightly greased pan, 8 x 8 x 2-inch.
Let cool and cut into squares.
