Christmas Cookies

Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in extract.
Add flour; mix well.
Shape level measuring tablespoons of dough into balls; roll in nuts.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
Indent centers; fill with preserves. Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes approximately 3 dozen.
