Chicken Rice Pilaf(Djaj Mah Ruz M'Falfal)
Chicken Rice Pilaf(Djaj Mah Ruz M'Falfal) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 chicken, 5 c. water, 1/2 c. almonds, blanched, 1/4 c. pine nuts and 3 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cook chicken in the water until tender.
Remove from liquid, debone and set aside.
Save the liquid.
Place almonds, pine nuts and butter in a saucepan.
Turn heat to low.
Stir, browning the nuts to a golden color.
Drain rice and add to the nuts.
Stir on low heat for 1 minute.
Add chicken pieces, broth, salt and pepper.
Bring to boil on high heat.
Lower heat, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve on a platter with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
