Butter Roll
Butter Roll is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 c. sweet milk and sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix first 3 ingredients together.
This will make a stiff dough.
When it's stiff, pinch off a small amount and roll real thin.
Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons sugar down the middle.
On top of sugar add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Then slide 1/4 of a stick of butter on top of the sugar and vanilla.
Fold in the dough around vanilla, sugar and butter to make a roll.
Layer sheet cake pan with butter rolls.
Sprinkle rolls with sugar.
Then completely cover with sweet milk.
Bake at 400Β° for about 20 to 30 minutes or until brown on top.
