Braised Rabbit
Braised Rabbit is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 1/2 lb.) rabbit, 1 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. pepper and crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut up rabbit; remove fat, wash and dry.
Mix flour, salt and pepper and roll rabbit in mixture.
Brown in Crisco.
Place in baking dish.
Cover with water and scrapings from browning pan. Add last 3 ingredients.
Bake at 400° for 1/2 hour; turn down to 375° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
