Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast (not fast active), 1 c. crisco, 5 c. southern biscuit self-rising flour, 5 tbsp. sugar and 2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Sift dry ingredients and cut in the shortening.
Add yeast and buttermilk.
Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
Take out and knead enough to hold together.
Roll dough into 1/2-inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place in pan.
Let rise for approximately 4 hours at room temperature.
Makes 3 dozen.
Bake at 400Β° for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
