Almond Rice Pilaf
Almond Rice Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. uncooked regular rice, 1 tsp. italian seasoning, 1 c. sliced mushrooms, fresh or canned and 3/4 c. slivered almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt margarine.
Stir in rice, mushrooms, seasoning and green onions. Cook and medium heat for about 10 minutes or until tender.
greased shallow 2 quart casserole. Cover and chill ready to bake.
(This part can be done a day ahead.) Heat oven to 325Β°. Stir in broth and almonds. Cover and bake for
1 hour.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
