All American Clam Chowder
All American Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 slices bacon, 1/2 c. minced onions, 1 (7 oz.) can minced clams (save juice), 1 c. cubed potatoes and 1 can cream of celery soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook bacon in pan until crisp.
Remove from pan and break into 1-inch pieces.
Brown onion in bacon fat.
Add clam juice and potatoes.
Cover and cook about 15 minutes until potatoes are done.
Blend in bacon pieces and minced clams the other ingredients.
Heat but do not boil.
Bacon may be used as garnish.
