"Ala" Clam Chowder
"Ala" Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (7 oz.) cans minced clams, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 2 tsp. instant minced onion and 2 pkg. birds eye frozen peas and potatoes in cream sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Drain clams; reserve liquid.
Cook celery and onion in butter until tender.
Stir in peas and potatoes, chicken soup, water, milk, clam liquid, thyme, salt and pepper.
Cook and stir until mixture bubbles.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Stir in clams and heat to boiling.
Garnish with paprika.
