Western Stew
Western Stew is an moderately easy soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with . beef, cut in 1-inch cubes, (8 oz.) bottle catalina dressing, c. water, potatoes and carrots, cut in rounds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Marinate meat in dressing for several hours or overnight in fridge.
Remove from marinade and brown meat.
Combine meat, marinade and water in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Add vegetables and continue baking for 45 minutes.
Place biscuits around edge of casserole; brush with margarine.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 475° for 8 to 10 minutes.
