Taco Salad
Taco Salad is an moderately easy Mexican salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 8 minutes. Made with light red kidney beans, . hamburger, . taco seasoning, large bag shredded cheese and bell pepper, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a large skillet, fry hamburger and onion.
Drain grease. Add tomato paste, kidney beans, taco seasoning and 1 1/2 cups water.
Simmer 15 minutes or until thickens.
In a large bowl, crush 1 bag of chips on bottom, 1/2 layer of peppers, lettuce and tomatoes.
Layer 1/2 of cheese on top, then add hot meat mixture, then rest of cheese, then rest of pepper, tomato and lettuce.
Top with 1 bag of chips (not crushed).
