Southfork "Chili"
Southfork "Chili" is an impressive soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with to 3 lb. ground beef, c. chopped onion, green pepper, chopped, garlic, pressed, or 3 shakes of garlic powder and to 2 tbsp. crushed red pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Brown ground beef and pour off fat.
Add onion, green pepper, garlic, red pepper, chili powder, cumin, oregano and salt.
Mix well.
Cook until onion and green pepper become tender.
Add beans, tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce.
Stir to mix well, breaking up tomatoes with a fork.
Simmer slowly, stirring occasionally, until thickened and blended (about 45 minutes).
