Oatmeal-Carrot Cookies
Oatmeal-Carrot Cookies is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with c. margarine or butter, c. packed brown sugar, egg, . vanilla and . baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds or until softened.
Add about half of the flour, then the brown sugar, sugar, egg, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda and cloves.
Beat until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
Beat or stir in remaining flour.
Stir in oats, carrots and raisins, if desired.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden. Remove from the baking sheet; cool on a wire rack.
Makes about 4 dozen.
