Meat Loaf Italiano
Meat Loaf Italiano is an impressive Italian baked good you can prepare in about 1 hour 50 minutes. Made with egg, beaten, c. cracker crumbs, c. minced onion, (8 oz.) cans italian tomato sauce and . oregano, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Combine eggs, cracker crumbs, onion, 1/3 cup tomato sauce, 1 cup of cheese, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in large bowl.
Mix well and add meat.
Mix thoroughly and shape into flat rectangle about 10 x 12 inches on waxed paper.
Sprinkle remaining 2 cups cheese over meat.
Roll like a jelly roll and press ends together to seal.
Place on rack in shallow baking dish.
Bake 1 hour.
Drain off fat.
Pour on remaining tomato sauce and bake 15 minutes.
Let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
