Kids' Krunchy Krazy Korn
Kids' Krunchy Krazy Korn is an moderately easy family-friendly dish. Made with 8 c. popped popcorn, 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. margarine or butter, 1/4 c. light corn syrup and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oven to 250°.
Place popcorn on 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; simmer for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly over popcorn; mix well.
Bake at 250° for 30 minutes, stirring twice during baking.
Remove from pan immediately.
Cool on waxed paper.
Store in tightly covered container.
Makes 8 cups.
