Italian Coconut Cake
Italian Coconut Cake is an impressive Italian dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 42 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. crisco oil, oleo or butter, eggs, separated and c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream together sugar, egg yolks, oil and margarine. Sift in flour and baking soda. Add buttermilk and vanilla to batter and mix well.
Add coconut, nuts and raisins.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Grease and flour 3 (8-inch) layer pans or 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
