Autumn Apple Salad
Autumn Apple Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained), c. sugar, (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavored gelatin, (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened and c. diced, unpeeled apples, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
Add gelatin; stir until dissolved.
Add cream cheese; stir until mixture is thoroughly combined.
Cool. Fold in apples, nuts, celery and whipped topping.
Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan.
Chill until firm.
Cut into squares and serve on lettuce leaves.
Makes 9 to 12 servings.
