Apple Dumplings

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Peel and core apples.
Cut each apple into 6 pieces.
Microwave apples until tender, about 3 minutes.
Roll each apple slice in one crescent roll.
Place in a 9 x 16 baking dish.
Melt butter, and mix in sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Spread the butter and sugar mixture over each roll. Gently pour Sprite over each roll, careful not to remove sugar mixture.
Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
