Strawberry Mousse
Strawberry Mousse is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 50 minutes. Made with qt. strawberries, washed and hulled, c. sugar, c. white wine, envelopes unflavored gelatin and c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Crush berries.
Add sugar and white wine.
Stir well.
Chill. Soften gelatin in cold water; add boiling water.
Stir to dissolve; cool.
Combine gelatin and chilled strawberry mixture; beat with rotary beater until slightly thickened.
Fold in whipped cream.
Turn into 2-quart ring mold.
To serve, fill ring with additional strawberries and whipped cream.
Garnish top with large berries.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
