Sangria
Sangria is an moderately easy drink you can prepare in about 1 hour 8 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. water, orange, thinly sliced, lime, thinly sliced and bottle red or white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine sugar and water in saucepan.
Heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to boil.
Add sliced fruit to hot syrup and marinate at least 4 hours before using.
When ready to serve, put about 12 ice cubes in a tall glass pitcher; add marinated fruit (reserving 2 slices of fruit for each glass) and 1/2 cup of the syrup, then add wine and carbonated water.
Place 2 slices fruit in each glass and fill glasses from pitcher.
Makes 8 servings.
