Orange Sangria
Orange Sangria is an moderately easy drink you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with medium orange (or lemon or lime), c. sugar, c. orange juice, (4/5 qt.) bottle dry red wine and c. cointreau or triple sec, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut orange in half.
Slice one half.
With a vegetable peeler, cut off the thin outer peel of the other half of the orange.
In a bowl, using a wooden spoon, mash peel into the sugar so sugar absorbs the oils; then add remaining ingredients.
Cover and chill.
Remove peels after 15 minutes.
Serve over ice.
Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
