Norwegian Toast Cookies(Tebrod)
Norwegian Toast Cookies(Tebrod) is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 26 minutes. Made with c. margarine, c. sugar, eggs, c. sour cream and c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix all ingredients together in order given.
Dough should be sticky, but not real glossy.
You may have to add a tablespoon or so more flour.
On a greased cookie sheet, spoon and shape into 3 loaves.
Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Remove from oven; slice loaves.
Arrange slices, cut side down, on cookie sheet and bake another 15 minutes at 375° or until golden brown.
Each loaf makes 18 slices.
To make daintier slices, make loaves larger or narrower.
