Bran Muffins

Pour boiling water over 100% bran.
Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs.
Combine soda, flour and salt.
Add alternately with buttermilk.
Add All-Bran and mix well.
Dates, currants, raisins or blueberries may be added, if desired.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
This keeps well in the refrigerator 6 to 8 weeks.
Do not cover tightly.
